Please join us for a tour of interesting and highly topical subjects from a panel of distinguished speakers including keynote addresses from industry; Susan A Hallen of IBM and Mark Cruickshank of RBS.

Mark Cruickshank of RBS:

Mark is IP Legal Counsel at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc. He is responsible for identifying, protecting and enforcing the bank’s intellectual property rights throughout the Group, including in relation to NatWest, Coutts and Ulster Bank.  This includes acting in all IP matters relating to copyright, trademarks, designs and patents as well as confidential information, trade secrets and domain names.  A large focus of Mark’s work relates to IP issues arising in relation to Fintech.

Mark has been accredited as an IP specialist by the Law Society of Scotland, and sits on the Law Society of Scotland’s IP Specialist Accreditation Panel.  Mark is a Recommended Individual in Legal 500 (2015) and is also a ranked individual by Chambers & Partners (2014 and 2016) where he is recognised for his strength in handling IP disputes and brand enforcement matters.  Mark is also Vice-Chair of the LES for Scotland and he sits on the CITMA Commercial Skills Working Group.
