The New Lambert Agreements in their First Year

The Lambert Toolkit was originally developed in order to improve collaboration between Universities and Business through a series of model research collaboration agreements prepared by a working group representing industry and academia. Following a usage review commissioned in 2013, a new working group was engaged to implement its recommendations and develop a new suite of model collaboration agreements, plus extensive guidance on their use and on associated legal matters including data protection and anti-bribery.

The revised Lambert 2 Toolkit was launched on 6 October 2016 by the Minister for Intellectual Property.  Half a year on we are very pleased to welcome back members of the working group, Geoff Archer and Christine Reid, to speak to our members about the new toolkit, how it is being used and how to get the most out of it.

GEOFF ARCHER, Head of Knowledge Exchange at Teesside University and a Council member of the Association for University Research and Industry Links (Auril).

CHRISTINE REID, partner at the law firm of Northwood Reid and a legal adviser to the Lambert working group.
