LES North West Meeting

20 March 2013 17:45 to 21:00

IP Due Diligence in Corporate Transactions

Wednesday 20th March 2013 – 5.45pm for a 6.15pm start

Addleshaw Goddard, 8th Floor, 100 Barbirolli Square, Manchester, M2 3AB

Luke Stubbs and Rebecca Moore (Addleshaw Goddard)
Andrew Fearnside (Appleyard Lees)

This meeting is one of a number that the North West Group intend to run to encourage new members to join LES. It is aimed at those new to IP Due Diligence but should be suitable for all. Members are encouraged to circulate this invitation to Non-Members.

Parties considering buying, selling, or licensing IP as part of a corporate transaction seek a full understanding of which IP assets are part of the deal, the nature and value of those assets, and what limitations or risks are attached to them. IP Due Diligence requires a detailed examination of IP assets to determine this. In this LES meeting, aimed at trainee and newly qualified lawyers and patent attorneys, Luke, Rebecca and Andrew will discuss and illustrate when, why and how to conduct IP due diligence with a focus on the roles of the corporate lawyer and the patent attorney. If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance as soon as possible.

The talk will commence at 6.15pm and will be followed by drinks and a hot & cold buffet.
